Chai Lifeline, the childhood cancer charity, has produced a new video to encourage hope in children with cancer.
Every year in the Summer, 400 children are treated to medically supervised overnight stay at Camp Simcha USA, a branch of Chai Lifeline. 'Camp Simcha exists to improve the quality of life of children suffering from Cancer or other life threatening illnesses'. The children can experience traditional camp activities in the specially designed fully handicapped-accessible
facilities. They have the opportunity to take part in Talent shows, concerts; and helicopter, hot-air, and
motorcycle rides which help them to break the cycle of daily medical care. Campers return home
reinvigorated, with deep friendships and happy memories to help them
travel the rough road ahead. The Chai Lifeline website quotes, "Sometimes the pain is so great that kids want to give up. Camp Simcha makes them want to live again."
Camp Simcha UK, also has facilities for helping children and their families in varied ways through the year.
