It has recently been revealed that The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has a 60 minute gym routine which includes the exercise ball.
Marie Claire and Now magazine have both reported that she rarely uses any expensive fitness equipment, preferring instead to work out with bodyweight, free weights and a 'Swiss' Ball. Apparently Kate tries to work in a 60 minute daily session which can include squats to tone her legs, sit-ups for her abdominals and various other exercises on the ball.
With a majority of women being afraid to use weights for fear of 'getting big' it is great that squats and dumb-bells appear to have 'royal' approval. Now magazine reported, "Kate does an hour's workout every morning using the gym ball and dumbbells...", Marie Claire has reported, "...we've often wondered how she manages to maintain her super-slim figure. And now we know."
This kind of training is much more natural for everyone to do and can have amasing effects if done regularly. Most people notice the difference in only a few weeks, but as with all exercise it is best to maintain it. For those of you itching to do a little exercise now and if you have 5 mins spare, try the following (with your doctor's approval of course).
Stay Healthy!
