Who would have thought a darts champion would be going to a Judo Champion for help with his training. The art of throwing your opponents was practised to Olympic standards by Laura Church, so it seems only fitting that Phil Taylor who is known for his expertise at throwing darts should see her about his fitness.
Phil has lost a massive 2.5 stone in just 3 months, his goal is to lose 7 stone by the end of the year.
His personal trainer Laura Church helped him to achieve this mostly through a massive change in his diet. He would also weight train regularly and do some cardio. It seems that by hiring a personal trainer to complement his sports practise, Phil has now got onto a bit of a winning streak. The 15-time world champion darts player admitted, “I feel 20 years younger, I have so much energy and stamina
now. It could add another ten years to my career. I feel that good." He also said,"Being overweight is bad for posture and since losing weight my posture has
improved immensely. This is brilliant for my game and results, finishes and averages have proven
this — I no longer get back aches and have a much stronger core thanks to
weight training."
