A recent news item from the USA sites that young teenagers drink healthily, but they also consume sugary beverages.
Apparently the subjects filled out a questionnaire and stated they drink loads of water, juice and milk, although they did admit to drinking a little too much sugary drinks also.
More than 11,400 were surveyed and at least 42% of them drank at least 1 glass of milk a day, just under 25% had a 'soda' (i.e. something similar to cola/lemonade) drink each day.
The report doesn't say how strictly to the truth these 'surveys' were conducted, as most of us have been kids before and probably know how selective we would have been if asked by the school to report our consumption of anything.
Apparently they will try the questionnaire with the British kids as well, although due to cultural differences choices like 'soda' will be taken off the list and 'vodka', 'stella', 'bacardi breezer', and 'white lightning' might be added.
