While we go through life we change drastically. Our body, our tastes, our moods, our wants and priorities.
If you feel that your whole life has been changing too quickly for you to keep up with, then maybe it's time to slow down a little more. If you feel like you are in a dead end, get up and move about.
There are many roads to reaching our balance and place in life. Some will find it tough some will find it easy, some will prefer to hit the weights in the gym, others will prefer some Pilates. There ARE no wrong roads or wrong ways of doing things. The fact that you are doing it is just that, you are 'doing'. Making choices in your fitness, diet or anything else is really just that, a choice. If it works for you, great; if not, then change it.
I have learnt many things about biomechanics and physiology from modern and traditional sports/exercise. What might be 'safe' today might be 'unsafe' tomorrow, and vice versa. Take it slow to begin with then when you get more confidence/strength move on and up the pace a bit if you want.
