This month I would like to talk about excuses. They are everywhere, we can always find them. What are you using your excuses for though?
Most people use them for self-limiting. By that I mean we use an excuse to get out of doing something. "Oh, it's too late for me to do exercise today" or "I'm too tired" or "I left my gym kit at home" (Believe it or not people still use this one as adults not just as kids trying to skip PE lessons).
There are many other excuses and we make them constantly. All of those are things which stop you from doing something, so we call it self-limiting because no-one else is stopping you from doing it but yourself.
OK, now, if you are VERY good you will have little or no excuses to use in your life, but it is hard to do. The other way of living it is to re-programme the excuses. Look for positive ones. "Great, I have 10 mins free I can do some Yoga stretches" or "I feel great this morning, I'll get out for a run before work" or any other reason, it could be because it's a Saturday, make every Saturday morning an exercise morning.
As you take more control over your life try to limit the excuses until there are neither good or bad ones, but an attitude of improvement, or kaizen about your whole life.
Keep training hard guys! Until next time....
