Hi Trevor,
Well, the great news is that the beach could be one of the nicest places to train.
If you get there before the sun gets too hot, try some running on dry and wet sand. About 5 mins on the wetter more solid stuff then another 5 on the drier more difficult terrain. If the beaches are very clean you could even try this barefoot as the muscles of the legs and core will work more naturally this way. You can also try 1 minute shallow water runs. Of course the swimming should be on the top of your list. If you are feeling inventive enough prepare a mini-triathlon for yourself with set distances and try to beat the times over your holiday.
