We are well into the beginning of the Party season, with festivals, events, open -air gatherings and a host of other things the crowd may wish to involve us in.
There is nothing wrong with this at all, in fact it is really healthy(part of our social health) to become involved and enjoy these sorts of things.
It is really easy to over-indulge and this is where we need to be disciplined.
Already most of us have committed to a regular work out routine, this is proof that we have discipline. Let's keep that discipline during our social life also. A little alcohol and ca napes and other party type food from time to time is nothing to be ashamed of and the bonus of having these things in moderation is you can partake without the feelings of guilt afterwards.
It is a harder road to tread to keep disciplined when friends and family are encouraging us to 'have another glass' or to eat up but you need to put it into context, if you have one 'blowout' a week on food it's fine but 2 or 3 times a week will really pile on the pounds and maybe set bad habits.
Try to guess roughly what your consumption is, plan your blowout parties and your disciplined parties. You may find that a little more discipline when out with colleagues might work better and a little less with those who are closer to you; or the other way around; it is your decision at the end of the day. My hope is that whatever decision you make you will be happy.
