Happy New Year!

Hi and welcome to 2008!

As you can see I have been off the net for a while. This December was probably my busiest ever, which is very encouraging to know that you are all training hard.

I did allow myself some time off over the festive period as well. Now though, we are all ready to get back into things again (hopefully!)

So, the first section of this year will be a thought on losing excess weight. Very handy seeing as we have just finished the season of indulgence...( you HAVE finished haven't you ?!)
What to do if you haven't been training for a while? Well, the first thing is too take it easy, not to overtrain. Make sure you pace yourself to begin with and work from a sensible level.
- If you haven't trained for over 3 weeks then just the basics should be enough. You don't want to be another January statistic. So take it easy and enjoy it.
- If you have kept a good level of training up then continue, hopefully outside. The weather is great this time of year for really going for it. Set yourself some outside circuit training, or even try the old boxers' technique of jogging for 1 min followed by bodyweight exercise 1 min, followed by running 1 min then another bodyweight exercise and just continue this way for an hour.
Contact me at my website for some hints and tips if you like....

Keep training hard guys and HAVE FUN!
